Hey there fellows! How are y’all doing? Are you making sure that your hearts are happy? I’m proud of y’all and I hope that someday every one of us will be able to say that our hearts are truly happy as we fulfill our dreams as future health workers. I wish to make you all realize that everything that we are currently doing will pay off and I’m sure success will be sweet. See you all at the finish line mwah. But before that, lemme share to you all a little article I found that caught my attention.

    • The article about the heart highlights the effects of development on cardiac function. I remembered it was on my eight grade in highschool when we first tackled about the heart and I was so fascinated to know that such a small organ controls whether we get to live or not. That moment made me realize what I wanted to be. It took me a week of studying about the heart when I was able to realize that I want this and I want to learn more about this. Tenth grade and I was so sure of pursuing the course that I am in right now, however thinking about flying made me change with different perspectives in mind but I remember so clearly how I got hooked up on our topic about the reproductive system, we talked about how the embryo is formed and how wonderful the body transforms to create it and that made me decide that this field is what I want. I specifically chose this topic tackling how the development affects cardiac function.
The heart has the same exact basic mechanisms which are to develop pressure and eject blood, however, there have been several factors that have affected the normal functions of our heart. A factor such as the failure of the embryonic heart to perform the basic tasks of the heart may cause growth failure and in worst cases, death.
The article has talked about the similarity in function of both an adult heart and an embryonic heart just a bit of a difference in size. Rich and complex changes have included the alteration of the ventricular function of the heart as an effect of birth and development. Overall, I guess the heart really does get affected by such changes and even as an adult, we should be aware that our hearts can go the wrong way if we don’t take care of them. Constantly remaining to be cautious of factors that may risk our hearts from possible damage should be our main priority at all times. So, for every women and man out there, I know that love sometimes makes you feel all the positive emotions there are but I hope you guys remind yourselves to take care of your hearts by guarding them in the best way you can.
