    (3) Primary Health Care

    • Primary health care in my understanding is the accessibility of the necessary healthcare services to all people at costs that are appropriate and relatively affordable for them given the state of their geographical locations and backgrounds, wherein the people are actively involved in its realization. Primary health care allows healthcare institutions and facilities to be equally distributed to all areas may it be rural or urban so that all people may access healthcare wherever they may be while requiring people participation in a way wherein the community shares equal efforts in the promotion and realization of healthcare by joining events and activities like blood donations so that PHCs could easily provide the essential healthcare services that most people need.
Furthermore, the realization of the PHC should not be a responsibility only for the healthcare system but for the government as well. Thus, both should work hand in hand to address healthcare-related issues and provide the maximum services to the general public. Ultimately, PHCs have levels of healthcare according to AB Mbbs. The first one is the Primary Level which includes small clinics and local health sub-centers. The second one is the Secondary level, which encompasses small hospitals and community health centers. And the third one is the Tertiary Level which includes large hospitals. Thus with all this being said, I would say that primary health care carries a huge role in the healthcare setting as it is the one that enables and somewhat carries out the right of the people to healthcare accessibility. I think that it is a step that can help the healthcare sector possibly achieve and systemize the implementation of the Universal Health Care Act with the continuous participation of the people as well as the government.
