    • After doing research on the 3 terms and watching this video, I have gained a better appreciation about the importance of having a healthcare system. A health system, according to the World Health Organization, is a congregation of institutions, organizations, resources, and people whose primary intent is to promote, maintain or restore health. Having one in a country would serve to be very helpful to take care of its population and keep the nation stable. Fortunately, we do have a Philippine health system which is mainly overviewed by the Department of Health. One the things I find amazing about our country’s health system is its implementation of Philhealth which is a nationwide insurance program aimed at making healthcare services attainable for all Filipinos. What I don’t notice much in our health system is primary healthcare. Primary healthcare, as discussed in the Youtube video, is whole new way of approaching treatment. As things stand, our healthcare systems only starts giving serious attention when we get a disease. In primary healthcare, it is all about really for the caring people which can expressed through empowerment of health people and communities, multisectoral policy and action, and so much more.
