    • Data quality, based on different sources I have read, describes the ability of the data to be accurate, consistent, complete, and valid. Accurate in the sense that the data inputted is reliable and true, and consistent in the sense that in every application it is reflected, the updates of the data and the reflection of data are the same throughout.

In a certain enterprise, data from different areas/factors/categories are stored in a system for utilization and analysis. Given the various components of an enterprise (finance, products, supplies, etc.), the datasets are so numerous that their quality needs to be managed to make sure that it does not affect other datasets and it yields accurate results. A single flaw in data could disrupt the quality of ALL datasets. This can highly affect the decisions made by the company/establishment, affecting the reputation of their quality in general.

Hence, data should be checked according to different criteria to ensure that it comprises all the NECESSARY components that make up a good quality. Once the data embodies all the criteria, it will make the consumers rely on them more and trust what the company / establishment is offering.
