Silliman University’s logo, with its distinctive elements—the Silliman University name, a lamp, a Bible or book, and a wreath—captures the essence of my educational journey. The lamp, symbolizing knowledge, aligns with my pursuit of academic excellence, illuminating the path of learning and discovery. The Bible or book signifies the integration of faith into education, reminding me of the values intrinsic to my identity as a Sillimanian. The wreath, encircling these elements, embodies achievement, unity, and the holistic development fostered within the university.

The three Vs—Via, Veritas, Vita—etched into the seal echo Silliman’s motto, serving as a constant reminder of the guiding principles in my academic and personal pursuits. “Via” directs me towards the way, encouraging exploration and growth. “Veritas” inspires me to seek truth in my academic endeavors and ethical considerations. “Vita” instills a sense of vitality, prompting me to embrace a holistic life beyond the classroom.
