What is an information system?

MT14-CC’s Docs What is an information system?

An information system is the collection, storing, processing, analyzing, and distribution of data that involves hardware, software, human power, and processes. It often helps organizations be organized, and efficient as well as maximize their operation. Often times it is misunderstood that it should be stored in a computer although it is not necessary. During the earlier times, data were collected and organized using the traditional system using pen and paper however, it is transferred to a computer system to optimize the information.
