HIV United is a non-profit organization with an initiative to educate young individuals regarding HIV/AIDS and to raise awareness on what can be done to prevent this type of illness. In the Philippines, cases of HIV/AIDS are becoming more common through the years and there is an urgent need for young people to be alarmed regarding the prevalence of the disease. According to a figure reported by DOH, there are more than 1,000 fresh cases reported each month from January 2017 – June of last year. The organization aims to be of aid to those who are suffering from the disease and promote their overall well-being.
Mission:
HIV United is committed to raise awareness and educate young individuals regarding HIV/AIDS and its long-term effects to those infected. It is dedicated to spread knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDS in order to reduce the number of cases and improve the well-being of people infected with the disease.
Vision:
A world wherein there is a significant decrease in new cases of HIV/AIDS and one day, there would be no more new cases of infections. A healthy environment where those who are living with AIDS will not suffer from discrimination, isolation and have a better quality of life.
