2019-nCoV Antigen Test (Lateral Flow Method)
Hello, LABtobacilli! The 2019-nCov Antigen Test (Lateral Flow Method), an immunochromatographic assay that allows for rapid and qualitative identification of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) antigen extracted from the nasopharyngeal swab or oropharyngeal swab specimen, is described in this laboratory technical procedure. The test is intended to assist in the diagnosis of 2019-nCoV-caused coronavirus infection illness (COVID-2019). An initial test result is provided by the test. A negative test does not rule out 2019 COVID-19 infection, nor should it serve as the exclusive foundation for treatment choices or other management decisions. |

Helicobacter pylori Urease Test
The H. pylori Urease Test detects the presence of Helicobacter pylori, a bacteria linked to stomach ulcers and chronic gastritis. This test detects the urease enzyme generated by H. pylori, which hydrolyzes urea into ammonia and CO2. When a patient consumes a urea solution tagged with a certain isotope, the presence of H. pylori can be identified by measuring a rise in ammonia or by examining breath samples for labeled carbon dioxide. The test is non-invasive, rapid, and produces consistent results, making it an effective tool for identifying H. Helicobacter pylori infection. |
