HEALTH CARE & SYSTEMS
Such terms, even if it were only in brief research, are quite vast in reach in terms of information relay. But in a nutshell, the following simply means:
Health System: The whole organization and network of institutions, people, resources, etc. that bring about the delivery of health services to that of society.
Primary Health Care: In the words of the World Health Organization (WHO), it is a “whole-of-society approach” to the delivery of health care services that make them more readily available to the community by means of strengthening the health systems on a national level (Primary Health Care, 2019).
Note: The Philippine Health Care System will be further discussed down in the comments.
Along with what was discussed in the uploaded video, I agree that people should put more importance on who they elect as our leaders for the reason that what actually propels, or hinder for that matter, the progression of health care improvement is in the hands of the people running the government. What services, and the quality of which, very much depend on what goes on behind the decisions of those of authority. Even going as far as to the salaries of our health professionals are up to them. It actually very much surprised me to find out that hospitals now have other reasons to deny admissions, and that is because they lack the staff in order to provide care. As such, people should acknowledge the seriousness of what our decisions could do (and, therefore, act accordingly) with what can be made available for us.
